How much time will you spend on each part of the project?
Answer
While some areas of Zendesk are straightforward to use and configure, other parts allow for a great deal of customisation and flexibility. Also, not every team will use Zendesk the same way. That means the same kind of work requires different amounts of time across projects.
The work in a project consists of a lot of different activities and moving parts. There will be meetings, consultation and configuration, as well as project management. We estimate roughly what work needs to be done and how much time it might take. This makes up the total estimated time in a project.
This estimate is based on what we know about the requirements at the time and experience on how much effort these activities can take.
When we work on a project, we allocate the time as needed more or less fluidly. If one activity takes less time than expected, we have more time to spend on other things. If something takes more time than anticipated, we'll take it from the overall time allocation.
